CNC cut MDF

Medium-density fiberboard (MDF) is a man-made material that comes in flat boards. It's commonly used in carpentry and cabinet making, as it's a stable and uniform material. MDF is made from ground wood chips and sawdust, which are mixed with resin and then subjected to intense pressure and high temperature. This creates a board that can be seen in cabinets, beds, speakers, and other wooden products.

Since MDF is generally cheaper than solid wood species, it helps to lower the cost of wooden products. The properties of MDF as described above make it a perfect candidate for CNC milling material. It can be easily machined and processed, it's uniform and stable and can be finished to a high degree. That, coupled with the fact that it's relatively cheap, is why MDF is a base material for a variety of projects, including home decorations and Christmas decorations, sign engraving, and more.

CNC cut Plywood

A CNC router is capable of machining a wide range of materials, but when it comes to strength, stability, and availability, plywood is hard to beat!

Plywood is made up of thin laminated layers of wood, which can be sourced from birch, bamboo, or other materials. These layers are glued together and stacked to form a strong and versatile material. One of the key advantages of plywood is that it has a very low moisture content. This makes it a popular choice in modern construction, where moisture can be a significant issue. Additionally, plywood can be resistant to moisture, which makes it ideal for use in outdoor and marine applications. Plywood is also known for its ability to reduce tensile stress in structures, as well as providing excellent dimensional stability. CNC cut Acrylics

The versatility of CNC routers allows for cutting and engraving various materials including acrylic, commonly used in sign-making and decorative pieces.

CNC cut wood

CNC machines are capable of cutting solid wood with relative ease. Unlike MDF and ply where the grains are cross-laminated or non-existent, with solid wood the grain direction is to be taken into account, and feeds and speeds are more important. More finishing is required after the CNC cutting of solid wood, but the final result is often unmatched.

Its unique features, such as resistance to chips and dents, make it the perfect choice for CNC routing. Additionally, it holds screws very well, making it an excellent option for creating braces and structural components when constructing furniture.
